Connect CommandLane to Anthropic's Claude models for AI-powered classification, planning, and chat features.

Setup Guide
Step 1: Get an API Key
- Go to Anthropic Console
- Sign in or create an account
- Navigate to API Keys
- Click Create Key
- Copy the key (starts with
sk-ant-)
Keep Your Key Safe
Your API key is like a password. Never share it or commit it to version control.
Step 2: Add Your Key to CommandLane
- Open Dashboard (Ctrl + Shift + D)
- Go to Integrations
- Find the Anthropic card
- Click Configure
- Paste your API key
- Click Test Connection to verify
- Click Save
Step 3: Configure AI Features
In Dashboard > Settings > AI Settings:

Step 4: Test the Integration
- Open Capture Window (Ctrl + Space)
- Switch to Chat mode (type
?or use Shift + Tab) - Ask: "What tasks do I have?"
- If you get a response, Anthropic is configured correctly

Pricing
Anthropic charges per token. Typical CommandLane usage:
- Light use: ~$1-2/month
- Moderate use: ~$5-8/month
- Heavy use: ~$15-25/month

Troubleshooting
"Invalid API key"
- Verify your key starts with
sk-ant- - Check for extra spaces when copying
- Generate a new key if issues persist
"Rate limit exceeded"
- Anthropic has usage limits
- Wait a minute and try again
- Check your account tier limits
No response in Chat mode
- Ensure Anthropic is selected as the Chat provider in Settings
- Test the connection on the Integrations page
- Verify your API key has available credits
Slow responses
- Claude response times can vary
- claude-3-haiku is faster than claude-sonnet-4
- Consider using local AI (Ollama) for faster classification
Privacy
When using Anthropic:
- Entry text is sent for AI processing
- Data is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy
- Anthropic does not train on API data by default
- For fully local processing, consider Ollama instead
Stay Private
If privacy is a concern, use local AI classification in Settings > AI Settings and only enable Anthropic for specific features like planning.
